Markets Update:

U.S. equity futures were little changed Tuesday evening after the S&P 500 reached a fresh intraday record and posted an all-time closing high, supported by a rally in technology stocks.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 37 points, or 0.07%, while S&P 500 futures gained 0.09% and Nasdaq-100 futures added 0.08%.

The S&P 500 advanced 0.58% during Tuesday’s session, marking its fourth consecutive gain and closing above 7,800 for the first time. The Dow rose 0.49%, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.45%.

Chip stocks led the gains. Marvell Technology jumped 5.8% after raising its revenue guidance, while Advanced Micro Devices gained 2.8% after Citi increased its price target, pointing to stronger demand for CPUs.

Asian markets were mostly lower. Japan’s Nikkei 225 was flat, while South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.57% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index declined 0.65%. China’s mainland markets remained closed for the Golden Week holiday.

Treasury yields eased after a recent surge. The 10-year yield stood at 5.286%, after reaching its highest level since April 2002 on Monday. The 30-year yield was 5.661%, while the two-year yield slipped to 4.798%.

Investors are now focused on minutes from the Federal Reserve’s September meeting, due Wednesday, for clues about the central bank’s outlook on monetary policy and the economy.
